Sarah & Casey’s NH Seacoast Wedding

I was so very excited when Sarah contacted us about her wedding plans.  Way back when we were a couple of school kids with a shared passion for horseback riding.  Though we have since gone in different directions, the magic that is Facebook brought us back together.  Sarah had been following our work and made the connection shortly after announcing her engagement to long-time love, Casey. 

The couple was planning their NH Seacoast wedding from their new home in Colorado.  Fortunately we were able to catch up with Sarah and her Mom, Denise, on one of her trips back east to talk about the big day.  Blush pinks and purples would accent the beautiful surroundings of St. Andrews-by-the-Sea in Rye.

Bridesmaids bouquets were a romantic combination of purple dahlias, roses, stock, fresh lavender, and green mini hydrangea.

 

 

The Groom and his Groomsmen sported rose boutonnieres.

Loved the classic car – what an entrance!

Sarah’s bridal bouquet was a mix of blush pink dahlias, peonies and roses.  Dahlias were an integral part of these designs.  The couple’s dog is named after the flower!

Lindsay & Kyle at The Margate

Lindsay and Kyle were married on a beautiful day in August at the Margate in Laconia.  It was our second wedding at the lake side resort.  A beautiful setting!

Lindsay chose stunning shades of peach and cream for the big day.  We added a few tasteful crystals into her bouquet, as well as the MOH’s, to make them stand out.

The bridal bouquet was comprised of both peach full-sized and Spray Roses, cream Spray Roses, peach Hypericum Berries, and off white mini Calla Lilies.

The bridesmaids carried bouquets of peach Alstroemeria and cream Spray Roses.

Photos with the flower girls are always fun!  Each of the two little ones carried a peach “flower wand” (a sturdy peach Rose with streaming ribbon).

We topped the cake with a few peach Spray Roses, as well as peach Hypericum Berries.

Full arrangements of peach Alstroemeria and Bupleurum topped the tables.

The arrangements were surrounded by candles made by friends of the couple – favors for all the guests!

Anna & Matt – A Chebeague Island, Maine Wedding

We were thrilled when Anna, a fellow New Bostonite, contacted us about her bridal party flowers.  Anna and Matt were planning a Maine island wedding and were looking for bouquets and boutonnieres.  Luckily, a mutual friend was attending the nuptials and was available to deliver them all with great care.  The flowers traveled by car, then shuttle bus, then ferry, then car again, all to make it to their final destination!

Anna wanted a “just picked” and native look to her bouquets, so we used Roses, Delphinium, Nigella, Gomphrena, Thistle, Stock, Veronica, and Snapdragons.

I didn’t get the chance to snap a picture of the bouts, but they were a gorgeous cluster of Thistle (below), white Spray Roses, and Sword Fern.  The thistle was a nod to the Bride’s Scottish heritage.

Lisa & John – A Wedding at the Condon Homestead

Here we are, almost two months later, but the memories are still fresh.  A beautiful family celebration for two of my favorite people.  There’s too much to capture in clever prose, so please enjoy these photos and short captions in its place…

The gardens were in top form.

With a dreary forecast, we brought the gardens into the tent as well.

Preparing for the big day.

Jo kept close watch on all activities.

The yard was ready for guests.

The flowers waiting patiently for placement.

The main event!

Poms of Baby’s Breath and yellow Mums hung with votives to frame the ceremony space.

I don’t think I’ve ever been so nervous to present a bride with her bouquet…

Seemed fitting to photograph a craftsman’s bout on an antique handsaw.

 

Each table featured a unique vessel filled with white, yellow, and orange blooms.

 

Table numbers were stenciled onto aluminum buckets (for rib bones – mouth-watering photo to come).

The tent was strung with lights and each table glowed with votives once darkness fell.

Tom’s famous ribs were a hit, as always!  The Father of the Groom took his grilling duty very seriously, building a custom grill pit we’ve since named “Grillzilla” (it’s a beast), and holding test run tastings leading up to the wedding.  We’ve never eaten so well!  A big thank you to to “pit crew” for their service under very wet skies.

Speaking of delicious treats, the gorgeous cake by Tastefully Wright.  We are spoiled with family talent. 

No detail too small.  A welcome sign for the rehearsal dinner, our signature chandelier, and custom made sap bucket wall sconces.

The army of umbrellas for all the good luck the sky dumped on the couple.  It wouldn’t be a family wedding without it!

The happy couple sawing into their cake and dancing to the local Blue Grass band who rocked the barn that night.

So much love for two wonderful people.  The amount of family involvement from both sides of the wedding aisle warms the heart.

And they lived happily ever after…
